How long do the trials last each day?

No, trials are free of charge. Fees applicable if invited to join a squad, and invitation is accepted.

Players from U11-U18 for the 2025 season, based on birth year.
Do I have to attend all trial sessions?
Yes. Attending at least one out of the two sessions is a requirement, please contact us if there is an issue with the dates.

If a player wants to play Geelong community football at the highest level, should they still participate in these trials?
Yes, these trials are the first step for all high-performance placements.

Evaluations will focus on skills, decision-making, team-work, communication, athleticism, and game sense.
Will there be different trials for different positions (e.g., goalkeepers, defenders, etc.)?
No, all positions are assessed during the same sessions.
Who will be conducting the evaluations?
SCFC coaches and selectors with experience in player development.

Once final teams are confirmed, with all players accepting their invitations, they are considered final. However, in exceptional circumstances a move between teams may be deemed appropriate.
If a player isn’t selected for a team this season, will they have another chance to trial next year?
Yes, players can trial again next season, and, depending on injury or availability, there could be opportunities to top-up Pathway teams during the 2025 season.
What development opportunities are available for players who don't make the competitive squad but still want to improve?
SCFC offers additional training programs, such as Coerver Coaching, to support development.
Post-Trial Feedback and Development
If a player is not selected, will they receive individual feedback on their performance?
General feedback is available upon request.

Metro and CPL games are usually played on Sundays, with travel required for away matches.
